Ugly sweater party

We had a before Christmas party with Scott's family since we wouldn't be there for Christmas. We decided to have an ugly sweater party. Scott WON! haha

Jacob is still obsessed with Spider-man. He got TONS of spider-man things for Christmas and he loves to wear his costume. It was funny to see him wearing it and helping grandma put up the Christmas tree. Later when we were dressing up for the nativity the only thing he wanted to be was spider-man in the play.

While Scott was gone during the day Jacob and I spent a few days working on the 1,000 piece puzzle we found. Scott sees waste of many hours, and I see enjoyment :)

Here are some other pictures of when we were visiting in Utah. We also checked out the local library and I have to say Iowa has much better libraries. The boys loved their dog Smokey, but I don't think the feeling was mutual. He only bit Landon a few times. It kind of made us want to get a dog, but maybe a nice one that actually likes kids. Jacob had fun playing with his cousin Chase.

We also got to go see the Nutcracker, the Savior of the World play at temple square (Scott's brother was in it), and the Christmas Carol. Scott and I also sang Solos in his mom's vocal recital. I'm usually not that brave so it was an accomplishment and it actually sounded pretty good. We sang in front of the elderly at the nursing home so maybe that is why it wasn't as intimidating.
