Cabin Fever

This is my favorite picture!

Well Landon is now a month old(technically 5 weeks) now and is growing super fast. He already feels like he isn't a newborn anymore. He continues to be such a perfect baby. He loves his brother Jacob. They have fun laying on the couch together. Jacob always grabs a blanket and puts it on both of them to keep them warm. Jacob will read him books and move the book in front of his face so Landon can see the pictures. Soo cute! Landon loves being on his stomach. It is probably because he sleeps best when he is laying on our chest so I have him take most of his naps that way... so I can get a nap too. He is getting so strong at holding up his head, and loves to listen to music.

As for Jacob and I we are getting CABIN FEVER. Yes, it is a real thing. We can't wait to have the snow gone and be able to play outside. The last few days it has been below 0 so we don't even want to go outside. We managed to make it outside yesterday and took Landon to his first movie. "Yogi Bear" It was a cute show that kept Jacob very entertained. Landon didn't think much of it...he slept the entire movie.

Jacob and I made some banana snowmen the other day.. because it was too cold to actually go outside with a newborn.. I was trying to be creative with a healthy snack, but Jacob ate everything off of them and smashed the bananas. WE also had fun making some "snow ice cream" It had been snowing lots one day so we decided to make our own ice cream. Jacob put sprinkles on and ate it all gone! I thought it tasted pretty good, but Scott filled his bowl with a zillion sprinkles so that was all you could taste.

Jacob has been getting his exercise though.. He thinks it is fun to run down the hall and back so I will give him a high-5. Scott taught him how to do some wrestling stances and moves so they practice that regularly. :) Scott also taught him how to do push-ups. Jacob is proud of himself that he can do them and wants to show everyone. I even found him doing push-ups in the bath tub.

Jacob has figured out how to unlock his bedroom door. Now I can't lock him in his room for naps. Yesterday it took a long time to get him down for a nap, but I used the baby gate to keep him in. Today, he knocked that down too so after a few threats to take away all his toys if he didnt stay in his room he finally closed his door and went to sleep on his own.

Scott his often found in his office studying. We don't see much of him now days.. but we are happy for the time we do get to see him. He just got a new church calling. He is the 2nd counselor in our branch presidency. So he is busy with that. I am so happy for him and proud of all his hard work.

I made some Valentine's chocolates and they are delicious! I've never been very good at melting chocolate, but I found the trick is using the almond bark that tastes the same, but it just easier to melt.
