Our new arrival: Landon James Conover

Landon was born on Jan 3rd. He weighed 8 lbs 9oz. and was 20 inches long. We were very shocked on how much he weighed because the last couple months of my pregnancy I was measuring small and they did several extra ultrasounds to make sure everything was going ok. They just kept telling me I would be having a small baby. He came out a LOT bigger. We are so excited to have another little boy in our lives. Landon is seriously a little angel. He hardly ever cries and he sleeps a lot, compared to what I remember about Jacob.

The story: I was dilated to a 4 for about 3 weeks. We were hoping that he would come during Scott's Christmas break, but that didn't happen. I had a Doctor's appointment the 3rd at 6pm and was going to have him strip my membranes. I was hoping that later that night it would happen, but I didn't know how soon. I was walking to check out of the Dr's and my water broke, which is the weirdest feeling in the world. He told me to go to the hospital right away so I went home and got Scott and we dropped Jacob off at a friend's house. I didn't start getting contractions for about an hour. I got my epidural and the nurse checked and I was an 8. The Dr came 40 min later and I was a 10. I pushed a total of about 4 times, 12 min, and he was out. It went super fast.

Both grandma's got to come visit for a week. It was sooo helpful! Here are lots of pictures!
